One if by land, two if by sea…
Jacksonville, Florida: Sept 10th, 2002 – In 1776, that warning would have been enough. Not so today. Events of September 11th galvanized our nation, triggering the horrible possibilities of ‘what if?’ A new novel, Home Ground, showcases this frightening possibility.

Kase, an 18 year resident of the Jacksonville area, completed Home Ground in 2000, one full year before the tragic events that make this novel so incredibly timely. The novel, Home Ground, is set in the Southern Georgia/North Florida area, and utilizes all of the military assets of the Southern seaboard. The USS John F. Kennedy is highlighted as the sea-going savior of this great nation as well as the personnel of Fort Stewart and Hunter Air Base in Georgia. Recent reviews are as follows:
Home Ground is a must read, character-driven story that captures the reader immediately. A classic piece that very much needs Hollywood’s attention. P. Elizabeth Collins, Gardenia Press
Wow! Home Ground by C. G. Kase is an exceptional story, told with such great ability and detail that it was very difficult to put down. From page one, the knowledge of the author captured my attention and it was so refreshing to read a novel so well thought out and craftily designed. Minde Wilke, Associate Editor
C. G. Kase’s Home Ground is the gripping, no-longer-such-a-fantastic novel of 1990s America caught in a deadly biological war. Three wholly different people are caught up in the midst of widespread death and destruction and must each fight to defend the life and liberty of their home nation from a singularly insidious threat. Home Ground is an intense, compelling harbinger of the all-too-possible specter of apocalypse. James Cox, Midwest Book Review
